The first person to walk the length of Yangtze river is Ash Dykes (UK) and was achieved from 26 August 2018 to 12 August 2019.
The Yangtze river is the longest river in the world to flow through a single country, Ash walked its entire 6,437 km (3,999 mi 1348 yd) length. Starting at the scientific source of the river, in Southern Qinghai province on the Tibetan plateau, and finishing at its mouth in Shanghai.
Ash was originally due to finish on the 10 August but had to delay the final stage of his walk due to an incoming typhoon.
