On the chart dated 2 June 2018, BTS (South Korea) debuted at No.1 on the Billboard 200 with Love Yourself: Tear, ousting Post Malone’s Beerbongs & Bentleys with 135,000 equivalent album units sold.


BTS scored K-pop’s first US Top 10 album on 7 October 2017 when Love Yourself: Her debuted at No.7.

135,000 equivalent album units (EAU), including 100,000 traditional album sales (TAS), are both US record figures for a K-pop album, dwarfing Love Yourself: Her’s 31,000 EAU and 18,000 TAS.

In the same week (2 June 2018), BTS also set records for the first K-pop group to reach the Top 10 on the US singles chart (with “Fake Love”) and the first K-pop act to reach No.1 on the US Artist 100.
