As of 30 April 2018, the smallest functioning Nintendo GameCube controller was unveiled by console modder Madmorda (USA) on 12 February 2018. Measuring just 63 mm wide x 45 mm high x 31 mm deep, the controller is fully functional - even down to the rumble feature. Madmorda used a GameCube controller keychain as the basis of the controller and then used 3D-printed parts for the extra pieces necessary such as the L, R, and Z buttons.

Madmorda first revealed the GameCube controller on Reddit on Bitbuilt.net on 27 January 2018, but didn't make the controller fully functional (which meant adding the rumble feature) until 12 February 2018.
