The most concurrent participants in a multiplayer videogame PvP battle is 6,557, and was achieved by EVE Online, developed by CCP Games (Iceland) at a battle called 'Fury at FWST-8', on 6 October 2020.

Breaking the record previously set by another EVE Online battle called 'Siege of 9-4RP2' on 23 January 2020, this latest epic battle - called 'Fury at FWST-8' - involved 8,825 players with 11,258 characters from 114 different alliances in an engagement that lasted 14 hours, of which 6,557 was the peak number of pilots active during one moment of the conflict.
