The most escape rooms attended in 24 hours is 32 and was achieved by Tatsuya Minami, Akira Minami, Kou Okamoto, Shinnosuke Kadoya (all Japan), in Tokyo, from 12 to 13 November 2020.


The new record holders wanted to bring back the “Escape room” records back to Japan from other because the " Escape room game" originated in Japan. They also wanted to boost the entertainment industry, which has been hit badly by COVID-19.
