Longest deep-space rescue in Elite: Dangerous

With a Latin motto that translates as “locate and save”, The Fuel Rats is an open group dedicated to rescuing stranded players in Frontier’s MMO space epic Elite: Dangerous. Since its establishment on 2 June 2015, more than 1,500 players have contributed in saving over 40,000 gamers. The longest such mission in terms of distance was the Rescue of Persera aka Operation Beyond the Void – 65,659.04 light years. It was a journey that put the rescuers in danger of being stranded themselves. The live-streamed event had a safe-and-sound ending, though, on 23 December 2018. It was longest in terms of time, too: 75 hours.
