Singer-songwriter Juanes (Colombia, b. Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez) won his 23rd award at the 19th Annual Latin Grammy Awards on 15 November 2018, taking home the Best Short Form Music Video prize for the single “Pa Dentro”.

His 23 awards have been achieved since 2001, the year he won Best New Artist, Best Rock Solo Vocal Album (Fíjate Bien) and Best Rock Song (for the album's title track). His most successful years were 2003 and 2008, when he collected five trophies at both ceremonies, including Album of the Year (Un Día Normal in 2003 and La Vida... Es un Ratico in 2008), Record of the Year and Song of the Year ("Es Por Ti" in 2003 and "Me Enamora" in 2008 in both categories).

In 2017, mixer Josh Gudwin and mastering engineer Tom Coyne won Latin Grammys for their work on Juanes’ Mis Planes Son Amarte album, and in the same year the Best Alternative Song prize went to Mon Laferte for “Amárrame”, featuring Juanes. Neither of these awards added to Juanes’ tally of Latin Grammy wins.

Juanes had been nominated 42 times as of the 21st Annual Latin Grammy Awards in 2020, including three nominations in 2020: Song of the Year and Best Pop Song (“Bonita”) and Best Pop Vocal Album (Más Futuro Que Pasado).

Other solo artists with multiple wins at the Latin Grammys include Alejandro Sanz (21), Juan Luis Guerra (20) and Gustavo Santaolalla (16).

The Latin Grammy Awards were inaugurated in 2000 and the US-based event honours music recorded in either Spanish or Portuguese.
