The longest glowstick measures 152.5 m (500 ft 3 in), and was achieved by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, John Ejnik, Ory Savchuk and Alyssa Fernandez (all USA) in Whitewater, Wisconsin, USA, on 9 September 2018.


The glowstick was created to celebrate the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s sesquicentennial, or 150th birthday. It took more than 100 volunteers to crack and activate the glowstick.
