Alejandro Sanz (Spain) has won seven Record of the Year trophies at the Latin Grammy Awards. His winning songs were: “El Alma Al Aire” (2001), “Y Sólo Se Me Ocurre Amarte” (2002), “No Es Lo Mismo” (2004), “Tú No Tienes Alma” (2005), “La Tortura” (Shakira feat. Alejandro Sanz; 2006), “Mi Persona Favorita” (Alejandro Sanz & Camila Cabello; 2019) and “Contigo” (2020).
Sanz was also nominated for Record of the Year in 2010 (“Desde Cuándo”), 2012 (“No Me Compares”), 2013 (“Mi Marciana”), 2015 (“Un Zombie a la Intemperie”) and 2019 (“No Tengo Nada”, his second nomination that year). Uruguay’s Jorge Drexler (2014, 2018 and 2022) has three Record of the Year wins to his name.
