Park Mu-Taek (South Korea, b. 22 June 1969, d. 20 May 2004) is the fastest man to have climbed the world's three highest mountains: he climbed Kangchenjunga (Nepal/India, 8,586 m; 28,169 ft) on 19 May 2000, K2 (China/Pakistan, 8,611 m; 28,251 ft) on 31 July 2000 and Everest (Nepal/China, 8,848 m; 29,029 ft) on 16 May 2002 – all with the use of bottled oxygen – in 1 year 362 days.
