Hawaiian surfer Sammy Morretino (USA, b. 29 November 1996) was crowned drop-knee bodyboarding world champion of the Association of Professional Bodyboarders (APB) World Tour aged 20 years 292 days on 17 September 2017. Morretino overcame seven-time drop-knee world champion Dave Hubbard in the final of the Sintra Pro event in Sintra, Portugal, to take the title.
Drop-knee bodyboarding was pioneered by fellow Hawaiian Jack Lindholm, and involves surfers placing one knee on the board as they ride the waves.
