Simlish, which was first used in the flight simulator SimCopter (Maxis, 1996) has since become a staple of the franchise The Sims. It began as gibberish but developed its own vocabulary and rules, and can be heard in The Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims 3, The Sims 4 and The Sims Medieval. As well as also appearing in The Sims add-on packs, Simlish is also heard in SimCity 4, SimCity Societies, the 2013 version of SimCity and SimCity BuiltIt. It is possible for players to teach Simlish to the civilized creatures in Spore too. A written version of Simlish also exists and it can even be found in the snowboarding game SSX 3.
The most widely used fictional language overall is Klingon language, invented for the Star Trek films by linguist Mark Okrand (USA). Participants at Star Trek conventions frequently converse in the language and in addition to a Klingon Dictionary there are Klingon translations of Hamlet, Much Ado About Nothing and Gilgamesh. The Google search engine is also available in Klingon.
