Three women have won the Great North Run half-marathon three times: Lisa Ondieki (Australia, then Lisa Martin) in 1986–87 and 1989; Liz McColgan (UK) in 1992 and 1995–96; and Mary Keitany (Kenya) in 2014–15 and 2017. Keitany also holds the women’s course record of 1:05.39, set in 2014.
