The fastest marathon dressed as a surfer (male) is 3 hrs 17 min 37 sec, achieved by Andrew Reid (Australia) during the TCS Sydney Marathon in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, on 31 August 2025.
Andrew, well known as "Reidy," completed the TCS Sydney Marathon dressed in board shorts, surf rashy and flip flops, all while carrying an actual surf board the entire time. Reidy is a member of the Bondi Rescue cast, a television show documenting lifeguards on one of Australia's most desireable tourist destination beaches. He ran the marathon in support of charity Ocean Heroes who provide an opportunity for people on the Autism spectrum to build confidence through surfing.
