The most missions flown by a rocket first stage is 19, achieved by SpaceX Falcon 9 booster B1058 between 30 May 2020 and 23 December 2023. On its final mission, B1058 made a successful droneship landing but was destroyed during the ship's return to port, when the booster broke loose and tipped over in high seas.

Early in its career, B1058 was easily distinguished by the prominent NASA "worm" logo painted on the side. This was applied prior to its maiden flight, which saw it launch Crew Dragon Demo-2 (the first human spaceflight launched from US soil since 2011). Over its three years of service, however, the logo became harder and harder to read as layers of soot from numerous fiery re-entries blackened the once pristine white paint.
