Released on 27 November 1995, Virtual Boy Wario Land for Nintendo's Virtual Boy was the first game to give gamers a taste for virtual-reality platforming. It starred Mario's nemesis in an immersive – and very red – side-scrolling adventure that brought stereoscopic 3D elements to the Wario Land series.
