Trojan asteroids orbit the Sun in the same orbit as a planet. They orbit the Sun at two stable Lagrange points, 60 degrees ahead and behind the planet. Jupiter has 10,793 Trojan asteroids as of 3 Nov 2021. The largest of these is 624 Hektor, which measures around 370 by 195 by 195 km. Its elongated shape is probably a result of it being comprised of two asteroids that joined together under their own mutual gravity.
