Largest cheese tasting event

The largest cheese tasting event involved 1,185 participants, and was achieved by Alpina Productos Alimenticios S.A.S BIC (Colombia), in Sopó, Cundinamarca, Colombia, on May 25, 2025.

Founded in 1945 by Swiss immigrants Max Bazinger and Walter Goggel, Alpina was born in Sopó, Cundinamarca, with the purpose of creating high-quality artisanal dairy products inspired by European traditions. Originally focused on yogurts and cheeses, Alpina has grown into one of the most recognized food companies in Colombia and Latin America, renowned for its sustainability, nutrition, and well-being initiatives.

The record attempt formed part of the company’s 80th anniversary celebrations and was also the official launch platform for Argovia, Alpina’s signature cheese matured for 90 days. The event was a celebration of legacy, innovation, and community—positioning Alpina as a reference for gourmet cheese experiences in the region.
