He did this while pitching for the Boston Red Sox (USA) in the second inning of a 13–4 loss to the Houston Astros (USA) at Fenway Park in Boston, Massachusetts, on 17 May 2022. Chase Anderson (USA) became the second pitcher in MLB history to give up five home runs in an inning. He did this while pitching for the Toronto Blue Jays (Canada) in the fourth inning of a 10–7 loss to the New York Yankees (USA) on 17 September 2020. Michael Blazek (USA) was the first pitcher to give up five home runs in an inning. He did this while pitching for the Milwaukee Brewers in the third inning of a 15–2 loss to the Washington Nationals (both USA) on 27 July 2017.
