Kurtz hit four home run and one double while playing for the Athletics in a 15-3 win over the Houston Astros (both USA) on 25 July 2025. The first player to accomplish the feat was Lou Boudreau (USA) in 1946. The others were Joe Adcock, Willie Stargell, Steve Garvey, Shawn Green, Kelly Shoppach, Josh Hamilton, Jackie Bradley Jr., Kris Bryant, Matt Carpenter, Alex Dickerson (all USA), Jose Ramirez (Dominican Republic), Luis Urias (Mexico), Adolis Garcia (Cuba), and Shohei Ohtani (Japan).
