Because of the extreme axial tilt of Uranus, its polar regions take turns pointing almost directly at the Sun. Over the course of Uranus’ 84-year-long orbit of the Sun, this means each pole takes turns in receiving 42 years of non-stop sunlight, followed by 42 years of non-stop darkness.
