Most wins of the International Wheelchair Rugby Federation European Championships (nation)

Great Britain’s wheelchair rugby team has won the IWRF European Championships six times: 1995, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2015 and 2017. They secured their sixth title by beating Sweden 49–41 in the final in Koblenz, Germany, on 1 July 2017.

Also known as “murderball”, wheelchair rugby is played on a basketball court-sized indoor space, with four players a side on court at any moment trying to score points by carrying a ball over a line. All participants must have a disability which involves function loss of both upper and lower limbs.
