Dustin Martin (Australia) recorded 68 broken tackles for Richmond Football Club during the 2017 Australian Football League regular season. This was 44 more than the next highest, 24, by Port Adelaide’s Sam Powell-Pepper. Martin has become famous for his stiff arm fend-off, known as the “Don’t Argue”. He went on to guide Richmond to victory in the AFL Grand Final on 30 September 2017, adding a premiership medal to the Brownlow Medal, Norm Smith Medal, the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year and the AFL Players Association MVP awards.
