On 17 September 2017, Ana Carrasco (Spain) won the seventh round of the FIM Supersport 300 World Championship at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve in Portugal. Riding a Kawasaki Ninja 300, 20-year-old Carrasco took the lead in the final straight of the 11-lap race to win by 0.053 seconds. She has been riding motorcycles since the age of three.
