The longest reign as a four-belt undisputed world boxing champion is 5 years 337 days, achieved by WBO, WBC, WBA and IBF women’s welterweight champion Cecilia Brækhus (Norway, b. Colombia) from 13 September 2014 to 15 August 2020.

The “First Lady” of boxing’s reign as undisputed champion finally came to end when she suffered her first defeat in 37 professional fights, losing to Jessica McCaskill by majority decision on 15 August 2020. Brækhus had equalled Joe Louis’s record of 25 consecutive title defences during her 11-year reign as a welterweight world champion.
