At the World Games 2017 in Wroclaw, Poland, Petra Senánszky (Hungary) won the 100 m Bi Fins event in 45.16 seconds on 22 July 2017, breaking her own world record of 45.69 seconds. She had set a new fastest mark for the 50 m bi fins the previous day.

The sport of finswimming is divided into separate disciplines in which competitors swim using monofins or bi-fins either on the surface or beneath the water. Bi-fin swimmers remain on the surface, wearing mask, snorkel and a pair of fins. Finswimming is governed by the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS).
