At the World Games 2017 in Wroclaw, Poland, Petra Senánszky (Hungary) won the 50 m Bi Fins event in 20.52 seconds on 21 July 2017. She broke her own world record of 20.98 seconds.
The sport of finswimming is divided into separate disciplines in which competitors swim using monofins or bi-fins either on the surface or beneath the water. Bi-fin swimmers remain on the surface, wearing mask, snorkel and a pair of fins. Finswimming is governed by the Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques (CMAS).
