Lord’s Cricket Ground in London, UK, staged its 150th Test match when England faced New Zealand in the first of their two-match 2026 series on 4–7 June. The iconic venue, widely regarded as the home of cricket, hosted its first Test match – England vs Australia in the Ashes – on 21–23 July 1884.

Lord's was opened in 1814 – 70 years before it staged its first Test match. The venue was named after its founder, Yorkshireman Thomas Lord (1755–1832), who played first-class cricket from 1787 to 1816.
England vs Australia on 21–23 July 1884 was the 15th Test match staged overall. England have been involved in 147 of the 150 Test matches at Lord's, with a record of 61 wins, 51 draws and 35 defeats. The venue also hosted Australia vs South Africa in July 1912, Australia vs Pakistan in July 2010, and the World Test Championship final between Australia and South Africa in Jun 2025.
