The oldest snooker player to record a maximum 147 break in professional competition is Ronnie O’Sullivan (UK, b. 5 December 1975), aged 49 years 253 days in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on 15 August 2025.
O’Sullivan made snooker history when he compiled two maximum breaks in two hours against Chris Wakelin at the 2025 Saudi Arabia Snooker Masters. This was the first time that anyone had hit two 147s in the same session, with Jackson Page the only other player to do so in the same match. The breaks were O’Sullivan’s 16th and 17th career maximums – also a record.
