The most backpacks stuffed in 8 hours is 8,148, and was achieved by Simon Says Give (USA) with the support of MoneyGram Foundation, at Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA, on 8 August 2018.

With the help of 423 volunteers, Simon Says Give was able to set this new record title in only 3 hr 22 min! The backpacks were donated to 35 different area non-profits, who in turn distributed them to deserving boys and girls throughout the surrounding communities. The event was generously supported by the following sponsors: MoneyGram Foundation, Mall of America, Simon Says Lead, Versique, Express Employment Professionals, Macy’s, Celarity and SalesForce. At this event, Simon Says Give also prepared 28 "Teacher Boxes," stuffed full of various school supplies to be distributed to teachers for the benefit of whole classrooms of students.

Simon Says Give’s mission is to have Kids Celebrate Kids by volunteering their time, talent and treasure. In the pursuit of this vision, Simon Says Give helps to grow and support the next generation of leaders by providing the opportunity for them to develop both essential life skills and a passion for helping others. The organization is well on the way to achieving its goal of positively impacting 2 million kids by 2022. Now in its sixth year, the High Five for Supplies event is a fantastic example of Simon Says Give’s broad impact, having grown from just 50 backpacks in its first year, to now reaching tens of thousands of kids in several states all across the country.
