Saracens (UK) recorded 20 consecutive games unbeaten in European rugby union's top-tier competition between 14 October 2015 and 21 October 2017, winning 19 games and drawing once (22–22, against Scarlets). They surpassed Irish side Leinster – who went 17 consecutive games unbeaten (16 wins, 1 draw) in 2010–12 – with a 28–17 victory over Clermont-Auvergne (France) in the final on 13 May 2017. Saracens’ run finally came to an end on 11 December 2017 when they lost 46–14, also to Clermont.

The European Rugby Champions Cup was known as the Heineken Cup from 1995–2014.
