The fastest marathon pushing a triple pram (male) is 3 hr 27 min 49 sec and was achieved by Whitey Holt (USA) in Saint Louis, Missouri, USA, on 2 October 2022.

In the pram were Whitey's children: Julia (6), Tripp (3), and Charlotte (1). Since Julia’s birth he and his wife, Janice, have done about 1000 miles of pram running with either one, two, or three kids. “The kids have always really enjoyed it and we have great memories of running to playground parks, a local bakery, or to see friends/family. We’d run almost anywhere.”

After completing the half-marathon record attempt earlier this year they wanted to try for the full marathon and knew they would have a very small window of time to attempt it. “At six Julia is about done with stroller runs, and I understand it” he says. The kids are getting heavier.

The race day weather was near perfect for them. “I was personally excited to see what time I could put up pushing the kids. The marathon is St. Louis's 2nd largest, the MO' Cowbell, and I know they run a great event. The kids were great and easy. No screens were needed, just a lollypop and bag of chips.” he explains.

Whitey credits his wife, Janice, with managing the behind-the-scenes logistics. “Anyone who has gotten three kids ready for a 7:30 AM race knows that the running part was the easy part.”
