The fastest time to pack the boot of a car (team of two) is 14.05 seconds and was achieved by Chen Xu and Zhou Guoliang (both China) during the FAW-VW ALL NEW BORA GWR LIVE! event in Chengdu, Sichuan, China, on 5 August 2017.
In order to achieve the record, the challengers had to pack the boot of the car with two deck chairs,a fold-able table, a cool box (filled with 5 x 500 ml bottles of water, 1 kg of fruit and a 500 g loaf of bread), a parasol and a picnic blanket, before closing the boot and sitting in the front seats of the car.
