In February 2016 publisher Techland released a $10-million (£6,932,192) version of its standalone expansion Dying Light: The Following, entitled the "Spotlight Edition". This solitary bundle was available exclusively through British retailer GAME. It included a supporting role in a proposed film adaptation of the game, professional acting lessons, stuntman/parkour training, an off-road driving course, an FX make-up session, a personal on-set trailer, a screening tour with first-class accommodation and flights, 10 VIP tickets for the film’s opening night, an original copy of the film script, the chance to voice a future character in the game and four copies of Dying Light: The Following itself, each signed by the development team.
The most expensive videogame package – i.e., based on what someone has actually paid to secure it – is the Grid 2 Mono Edition, which came with a road-legal supercar and sold for £125,000.
