Highest-rated videogame on Steam

As of 19 May 2025, Valve's 2011 puzzler Portal 2 was the highest-rated game on the PC distribution platform Steam. It carried an average approval percentage of 97.71%, with 426,539 players out of 432,197 rating it positively.

This is an update to the previous record data where, as of 5 March 2018, Portal 2 had a rating of 97.27%.

In narrow second place was Stardew Valley (ConcernedApe, 2016) with 97.65%, an ever-popular rural life simulator that is frequently updated by its development team of one. Portal 2's accolade is all the more impressive given the large number of players who had rated the game.
