According to reports, 99.8% of Iceland TV viewers watched their country beat England 2–1 at the Euro 2016 tournament on 27 June 2016. Just 298 Icelandic nationals who were watching TV at the same time were not watching the game. The match took place at the Stade de Nice in France.
With a population of 331,778 in 2016, Iceland also hold a record as the smallest nation to qualify for a major international soccer finals.
