The fastest time to cycle the length of Japan (N-S) is 5 days, 16 hours and 30 minutes, achieved by Yusuke Ochiai (Japan), cycling from Cape Sata to Cape Soya (Japan), from 15 October to 20 October 2021.

As an amateur cyclist, Yusuke has placed first among Asians in the PBP (Paris-Brest-Paris), a 1,200-km round-trip cycling competition from Paris to Brest, France.

He originally planned to challenge the RAAM (Race Across AMerica), but due to the influence of COVID-19, he has challenged this world record by cycling across Japan.
