The Tales series (Bandai Namco) has used vocal theme songs since its debut title, Tales of Phantasia, which was released in 1995 on the SNES. The series has launched 16 main titles, with the most recent, Tales of Berseria, released in August 2016. An opening animation movie was also used throughout the series since Tales of Destiny, released for the PlayStation in 1997.
