As of 28 March 2017, baseball pro Wei-Yin Chen (Chinese Taipei) had graced the cover of all five Chinese Taipei releases in the MLB: The Show series. Since the release of MLB 12: The Show (SIE San Diego Studio, 2012), Sony have produced alternative covers for the game to help promote it in different markets. MLB 13: The Show (SIE San Diego Studio, 2013) was the first entry in the series to sport a cover specifically for the Chinese Taipei market, and a region-specific version of the game has been produced every year since, each with Wei-Yin Chen on the cover.
