The most popular raccoon on Instagram is Pumpkin, a rescue with 1.1 million followers as of 3 May 2017. She lives with two dogs, called Oreo and Toffee, and their owners Laura and William Young in the Bahamas.
Pumpkin was originally rescued by Laura's mother, Rosie Kemp, who found the young raccoon injured on the island of Nassau. They nursed Pumpkin back to health and became part of the family, at which point she moved in with Laura.
As of the same date, Pumpkin also had more than 99,000 fans on Facebook.
