You might think you've played a lot of Minecraft, but creator Blip Noir has spent over six years working on a single Minecraft build. The project depicts the sprawling, fictitious city of Newisle and is approximately 600 by 600 blocks in size. Incredibly, every building in the city has a fully furnished interior, and there are multiple neighbourhoods, highways and even a ridable rail system. The project began in August 2010, when Minecraft was still in alpha, with the goal of creating a dense city skyline. Blip Noir is still hard at work on Newisle six years later – as of 20 March 2017, the longest time spent on a single Minecraft build by one person.
