Fastest time to arrange a set of Scrabble tiles in alphabetical order

The fastest time to arrange a set of Scrabble tiles in alphabetical order is 50.70 seconds and was achieved by Lucy Bannerman (UK) in London, UK, on 5 September 2025.

For this challenge the 26 tiles are shuffled and dropped from the pouch, and must then be placed on Scrabble tiles in alphabetical order.

Lucy attempted several records in the lead-up to this attempt, including the fastest 400m sack race and most passes of a ball while seat dropping on a trampoline in one minute (team of two). In true record-breaking spirit she kept going after a few near misses, and was eventually able to set this speedy record!
