While character-creation is a staple of many games, such customization options are usually more limited in toys-to-life games where character data comes from the RFID chips located in the base of each collectable figure. With Skylanders: Imaginators (Toys for Bob, 2016), not only can players design their own character, but, using the Skylanders Imaginators: Creator app, they can also order custom 3D-printed figures (or a trading card) complete with RFID chips containing their own creation's data.

Users who order their own custom-created Skylanders also have a good chance of owning a unique Skylander. These would be the rarest Skylander models.
