First virtual reality (VR) Resident Evil videogame

Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (Capcom, 2017) is the first Resident Evil title to be compatible with a virtual-reality (VR) headset. The PlayStation 4 version of the game has the first headset compatible with this title, and support for other headsets will follow after Sony's one-year VR exclusivity phase has elapsed.

The core gameplay mechanics remain identical in the VR and non-VR versions of the game.
