Nintendo’s 1983 arcade version of Punch-Out!! is fondly remembered as the boxing videogame that got the formula right, but it also inspired a diminutive challenger called Boxing, one of the early Game & Watch tiny hand-held consoles. Although released as Boxing in Japan, the game was known as Punch-Out!! in the USA – a single-screen LED game forming part of the Micro Vs. series that allowed two players to compete. It was released on 31 July 1984.
