The most Olympic Triathlon gold medals won by any athlete, male or female, is two and was achieved by Alistair Brownlee (UK) in 2012 and at Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on 18 August 2016.
The Triathlon event was introduced at the Sydney Olympics in 2000. Alistair Brownlee won back-to-back gold medals while his brother Jonathan finished third in 2012 and second in 2016.
