Unveiled in New York’s Times Square in May 2013, LEGO’s 1:1 scale model of a Star Wars X-wing star-fighter was the company’s largest model to that date, and remains the largest Star Wars LEGO® model to date, comprising a total of 5,335,200 LEGO® bricks.

Assembled over the course of an entire year by an international team of designers, builders, engineers, mechanics and logistics experts, the model – which can now be seen in the Legoland California resort – weighs 45,979.61 lb (20,856 kg), including the supporting steel structure, and has a wingspan of 44 ft (13.4 m).
