Tim Cannon (USA), a software developer from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, is a biohacking pioneer and co-founder of Grindhouse Wetware, a start-up company that designs biohacking technologies. In 2013, he became the first person to be implanted with the Grindhouse "Circadia" body sensor, inserted under the skin of his forearm. The device sent his pulse and body temperature wirelessly to a smartphone at regular intervals. The Circadia featured wireless charging and status lights in the form of LEDs that shined through the skin and remained in place for three months. Cannon also has a magnetic implant in his tragus, part of the outer ear, which transmits sound through his head, and magnetic implants and an RFID (radio frequency identification) chip in his left hand that unlocks the door to his workshop. In his right hand he has a chip storing data that activates a satellite navigation app on a smartphone, allowing him to find his way home, and a Grindhouse Northstar implant with red LEDs that light up under the skin, controlled by his magnetic finger implants.
