The longest unbeaten streak by a newly promoted Bundesliga team is 13 matches and was achieved by RB Leipzig (Germany) from 28 August to 3 December 2016.

Rasen Ballsport Leipzig almost lost their very first Bundesliga game but for a 90th-minute equalizer from Marcel Sabitzer. They then stunned the league by beating Borussia Dortmund 1–0 and from 30 September to 3 December they won eight games in a row.

Their run finally came to an end while playing away to Ingolstadt (who had made their Bundesliga debut a season earlier). The visitors lost 1–0.

The previous record holders were MSV Duisburg, who went 10 games unbeaten in the 1993–94 season.
