In January 2017, Sony revealed that Rocket League was the most purchased game in the PlayStation Store in 2016 for both the USA and Europe. The vehicular soccer game outsold the likes of FIFA 17, Minecraft: PS4 Edition, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare and Battlefield 1 to take top spot in the Top 20 charts.
Sony did not release specific sales figures.
